IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE HROCC BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Our hearts go out to all our members whose lives, health, or businesses have been impacted by Coronavirus (COVID-19). The HROCC Board of Directors knows that this is a time of uncertainty and confusion. As COVID-19 continues to spread within the U.S, and now throughout the Columbia Gorge, we want you to know we are taking every precaution to keep our members, coaches/steers, and program participants safe:

  • Postponing the 2020 Season Kick-off party until further notice.
  • Postponing the start of our club’s paddling season, including practices, races and program. April and May club/race practices are cancelled until further notice.
  • Postponing the move of our O-6 canoe fleet to the Hale at Nichol’s Basin until further notice. Fencing will be set-up and ready when we are.
  • Constantly monitoring Hood River Health Department website for updates and advisories.
  • Encouraging club members to stay home and take steps to avoid infection.
  • We are committed to doing everything we can to keep our members and paddling community safe. With the situation changing rapidly, we encourage you to stay informed and stay home. You can find accurate, up-to-date information on our state’s public health department website using one of the links below.
